As a new senior picture photographer in Michigan, when someone says Michigan hockey I immediately think of the Redwings. But I need to rethink all that and start thinking Girls High School Hockey. Alexa is a hockey player for Detroit Country Day girls hockey. I am learning quickly girls hockey is here and here to stay. Doesn’t she look great in her letter sweater – Go Yellow Jackets!!

Alexa switched it up from casual and cute to a classy black dress for her senior pictures. Changing outfits , I think, is the most fun of your senior pictures. You can express yourself in several different ways that really show what your senior year is all about. Adding some simple accessories or jewelry can make an outfit go from nice to wow.
Backlight is my absolute favorite way to photograph senior girls. It can be the most challenging too but when it comes together, it’s magic. With the sun in her hair thats bounced back to illuminate her face these senior pictures are perfection. Obsessed!!
