Senior pictures are always a time to capture and celebrate senior year. Behind the great smiles of my seniors, everyone has a story. Here is Neha. She has had quite a full high school career at Salem High School. During her senior session, Neha was as sweet as she looks and oh so friendly. I had no idea how accomplished she was, from sports to singing to academic competition, lets take a closer look.
Neha was part of the tennis team for her four years of high school and was captain her senior year. She took her leadership skills with her to the academic side of high school and was captain of the Science Olympiad team PLUS president of the Genes in Diseases and Symptoms club. Yes, thats a club. (who knew?)
Before we continue let’s talk about her senior pictures and this amazing traditional sari Neha started with. I am absolutely obsessed with this stunning pink color. Her sparkling silver jewelry perfectly compliments the outfit and her infectious smile. It takes quite some skill to wrap a sari and Neha just looks amazing. Senior pictures can include dressy to casual to fun.
Neha was also a part of the Michigan Youth Chamber Singers and competed on her schools debate team. Now lets talk awards – she won first place at the national HOSA competition in the biomedical laboratory science and 3 years of awards at the miRcore Genes and Health Contest. Neha was a finalist in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair for research in environmental engineering. If that wasn’t a full plate, she also conducted research in Regenerative and Rehabilitative Muscle Biology at Wayne State University. Wow – yes, Neha is in high school!! Amazing!!
Her ambitions after high school match her accomplishments while in high school. Neha will attend Columbia University as an Egleston Scholar to study biomedical engineering. A future goal is to attend medical school after undergrad to become a surgeon.
Of course Neha has all the makings of a well rounded high school senior. She has personal interests like every other senior girl; singing, hiking, baking and watching psychological thrillers. Best of luck in all your future ventures, Neha. Sky’s the limit!!
