On a cold January day, when Michigan forces you to stay indoors, I found Emma more than willing to model for this styled senior picture photo session.. The idea was to capture her in a fun setting and create something unique for an extra senior picture session. If it doesn’t look very familiar, it is Dave and Busters in Livonia. Emma is a Class of 2019 senior at Churchill High School.
As a photographer I used all available light within the arcade and used it to my advantage. I pushed my camera to low light settings and it responded great. We also arrived when the doors just opened to avoid crowds and not interfere with any serious arcade goers. The colors and lights were amazing and offered unique looks reflecting in Emma’s glasses. Thanks Emma for being a great model for some exciting senior pictures.
Final edit – as a photographer I push myself to always improve. I submitted Emma’s image below to Shutter Magazine, a national print photography magazine, and it was chosen to be published in their Senior Edition. A creased spread no less. How cool is that?
