Welcome to a great senior picture photo session – The Senior Traveling Dress Project. I have joined several top senior photographers from around the nation for this personal project. We chose ONE fabulous dress, added one of our amazing seniors, photographed our vision for this dress and then sent the dress on to the next senior photographer. . . and voila – The Senior Traveling Dress. {pssst – check out our exclusive Instagram account for more @seniortravelingdress}
First lets talk about my amazing senior, Kameron. She attends Mercy High School and is an avid swimmer. Kameron is so fun to photograph, open to all my crazy ideas and looks so great. Doesn’t she? The dress we chose is this stunning classic Sheri Hill black two piece. It has a lace crop bodice and a split silk skirt. Kameron choose sparkly strappy heals that just added to this look perfectly. Beautiful!!
Our location goal was downtown Detroit which has so many areas to choose from. Since our initial location at the Z Garage was blocked off for an event, our second choice was even better . . The Detroit Institute of Art. (good idea, Kameron!) The white marble, arches, and steps just oozes classic architecture. Perfect backdrop for our Traveling Dress vision photo session.
We can agree that Kameron looks stunning, but what you can’t see behind the scenes is how COLD it was. October brought ridiculously cooler weather quicker than us in Michigan were prepared for. (are we ever prepared?) At about 45 degrees, Kameron was a true senior ‘model’ fighting her shivers, posing with ease and looking fabulous. Thanks Kameron for helping me accomplish this project in a great way. A highlight of my senior picture season for the Class of 2019.
