Christina is a junior at Northville High School. She is one of my first senior models who will represent Carla Jacobson Photography for senior pictures for the Class of 2015. This winter has been particularly harsh with many days subzero and the most January snow in like, forever!! Instead of waiting for a winter thaw, which seemed to be well into the future, we ventured into the cold and snow for some amazing winter photos, senior style!
Chrisitina kept her style simple with a warm vest, jacket and switched it up with a couple very pretty scarves. Although it was 20°F, the wind would whip up once in awhile sending shivers through both of us. We took a few “warm up” breaks in the car, but Christina was just up for anything which shows in her amazing images. The bright white snow made for great even light which only adds to how bright and fun these photos are. I just LOVE how these snow covered evergreen trees made for a perfect winter backdrop.
While at a photo session, I am always looking for ways to create unique looks for each senior. Christina’s very colorful scarf offered one of those opportunities. Her eyes really are this blue but the reflection of the snow just made them sparkle. The image below is one of my favorites of her senior model snow session. How amazing are her eyes??
Of course you can’t go in the snow and not “play” some. As cold as we were, the snow was so light and fluffy that tossing it around or blowing it just had to be done. This is why I love photographing seniors. I can capture all these great looks. Going from playful and fun to looking like you could be on a magazine cover, I try to bring out all the best in you. Christina rocked it all!!
